1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Alvar ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Alvar is an AI-powered idea engine for indie hackers and AI-coders. It validates startup ideas with real research, scores them on a 6-dimension methodology (AVS), and generates an AI-ready starter kit (PRD, AGENTS.md, .cursorrules, prompts). It runs at alvar.cc. A macOS companion and a weekly PM agent are on the roadmap; starter-kit buyers get priority early access.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to provide an email address. You are responsible for keeping any license keys or credentials you receive secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service
  • Use automated means to scrape or abuse the Service
  • Share your license key with others
  • Impersonate any person or entity

5. Intellectual Property

Alvar and its content, features, and design are owned by Alvar and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Content you create using the Service (your ideas, documents, outputs) remains yours.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Starter Kit ($99 one-time)

The Alvar Starter Kit is a one-time payment of $99. It includes a generated AI-ready starter kit for your validated idea, full access to the Validated Ideas Library, and priority placement on the waitlist for the upcoming macOS companion and PM agent. We offer a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund — contact hello@alvar.cc within 7 days of purchase.

6.2 Custom Kit ($200 one-time)

The Custom Kit is a higher-touch one-time purchase. Same 7-day refund window and the same single, non-transferable license terms apply. A license is tied to the email used at checkout; sharing a license key is a breach of these Terms.

6.3 Payment processors

Payments are processed by Polar; Stripe is retained only as a legacy fallback for historical orders. By purchasing, you agree to the applicable processor's terms of service.

7. AI-Generated Content

Alvar uses third-party AI providers (including OpenRouter and Perplexity) to process your ideas and generate documents. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content should be reviewed before use in business decisions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated output.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALVAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
