1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Alvar ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Alvar is an AI-powered product companion for solo founders that helps validate startup ideas, generate custom documents, and deliver weekly PM signals. It includes a web-based idea analyzer at alvar.md and a macOS companion app (in development).

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to provide an email address. You are responsible for keeping any license keys or credentials you receive secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service
  • Use automated means to scrape or abuse the Service
  • Share your license key with others
  • Impersonate any person or entity

5. Intellectual Property

Alvar and its content, features, and design are owned by Alvar and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Content you create using the Service (your ideas, documents, outputs) remains yours.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Lifetime Access

Alvar Lifetime Access is available for a one-time payment of $49 (launch price, subject to change). This gives you permanent access to all current features and future updates. Payments are processed by Stripe. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee — contact hello@alvar.md with your order details.

6.2 Subscription (Pro)

Alvar Pro is available as a monthly subscription at $19/month. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing hello@alvar.md. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no prorated refunds for partial months. You retain access to Pro features until the end of your paid period.

6.3 Stripe

By purchasing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

7. AI-Generated Content

Alvar uses third-party AI providers (including OpenRouter and Perplexity) to process your ideas and generate documents. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content should be reviewed before use in business decisions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated output.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALVAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
