Use Alvar from Claude Code or Codex.

Research your market from the assistant where you already work. Add Alvar’s address, sign in once in the browser and choose one project. The research plan, your approval and the evidence come back into the same conversation.

alvar · research plan: 8 sources, $99Approved

ClaudeAlvar read 412 posts and kept 97. The call is Sell: a waitlist-fill service paid per filled visit, run by hand before any software. The strongest quote:
“I’d pay per filled slot. I won’t pay another monthly fee for software we half use.”

What it adds to the search your assistant already has.

  • Quotes with dates

    Inspect the quoted passage, its source and its date alongside the answer.

  • Source coverage

    See which sources contributed to the answer, what was kept and where the evidence is limited.

  • Work in your project

    Research and evidence stay in the one Alvar project you connected.

Connect your assistant.

Add the address, sign in once, then ask. You choose one project and what the assistant may do there. No access key needed.

  1. Add Alvar in a terminal.

    codex mcp add alvar --url "https://alvar.cc/api/mcp"

  2. Sign in. Your browser opens Alvar: choose the project and what the assistant may do there, then come back.

    codex mcp login alvar

  3. Start Codex with codex and ask your first question:

    Show the Project context and the next useful step using only permitted saved evidence. Ask before starting paid research.

Use a key for a tool that cannot sign in

Create a key in your project’s Settings. It is shown once. Replace <your-alvar-key> with it.

Claude Code: Run once in a terminal

claude mcp add --transport http alvar "https://alvar.cc/api/mcp" --header "Authorization: Bearer <your-alvar-key>"

Codex: Add to ~/.codex/config.toml

[mcp_servers.alvar]
url = "https://alvar.cc/api/mcp"
http_headers = { "Authorization" = "Bearer <your-alvar-key>" }

Claude Desktop: Add to claude_desktop_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "alvar": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "mcp-remote",
        "https://alvar.cc/api/mcp",
        "--header",
        "Authorization:${ALVAR_AUTH_HEADER}"
      ],
      "env": {
        "ALVAR_AUTH_HEADER": "Bearer <your-alvar-key>"
      }
    }
  }
}

You choose the access when you sign in.

One project
You pick one of your projects. The assistant works there and nowhere else.
Read only by default
It reads the project’s context, saved answers and evidence. Private saved evidence only if you allow it.
Research if you allow it
You set the most one research may cost. A paid run still waits for your confirmation.
Disconnect any time
Disconnect it in the project’s Settings and it stops at once. Your other connections keep working.

Ask your market from the chat you already work in.

Alvar is available by invitation. Request access to connect your assistant to your project.
